…with yesterday’s. A new one from the mighty Daniel Osborne,
nowadays occasionally posting on our side of the barricades here.
Not one of his absolute classics but more than good enough to get
by with until the next one of those appears.

*Interesting how the locations for this rather conceptual, worked
over piece, still demand attention like the rather Egglestonian places
that make Daniel Osborne’s narrative work lodge so in the mind…

* Some of these S.O.A people really put me in mind of US film-makers from the early sixties.
I saw Ken Jacob’s Little Stabs at Happiness the other day for
the first time and the commonalities (more of tone than anything,
but there, definitely not my imagination) struck me really forcibly.
