Joan Brossa<\/a>, the Catalan poet, artist, performer and polymath,
\nwho died in 1998, deserves to be more widely
\nknown in the rest of the world.
\nI’ve often thought his work, in particular the visual
\npoems, prefigured much of the art of the early days
\nof the net (but mostly better: terser, wittier, riskier –
\nI think Brossa would have loved<\/em> the net).
\nThis elegant & delightful performance ( ‘Fi’ is Catalan
\nfor ‘End’, in this context The End<\/b>) was recorded
\nin Barcelona eight months before his death.<\/p>\n

It requires a little patience; the reward being that
\nit can be viewed many more than one time, so it
\nseems like an appropriate thing to leave you with
\nover the summer.
