Wasn&#8217;t post human,<br \/>\nmost of it, so much as post-<em>being-any-good<\/em>)<br \/>\nThen, on the other hand, you come across something like this:<br \/>\nno in-your-faceness, modest, austere and subtle, makes you do a little bit of work,<br \/>\nbut so, so worth spending time with.<br \/>\nis the Brazilian video maker who made this small and perfect gem<br \/>\n&#8211; an account of the celebration of the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Day_of_the_Dead\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Day of the Dead<\/a> by expat Mexicans<br \/>\nliving in London.<br \/>\nYou can see the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=K0S_vWLbwMc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">whole thing here<\/a> (and I urge you to do so).<br \/>\nBetty Martins cheered me up considerably and I look forward to much more<br \/>\nwork of this quality from her.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When the Souls Arrive (2011, 72MB, 2:40 min) I recently attended a fairly high profile art video festival, which shall be nameless, and I came away feeling depressed.
