Half of the splendid & indispensable MTAA, whose work we feature here
whenever possible – conceptualist pranksters with a rare (for the territory)
& self deprecating human warmth – Mark River makes interesting video stuff
(amongst other things) on his Tinjail site.
A lot of them are kind of multi-channel (go look) & don’t fit the dvblog format.
This one does & is excellent too..

interactive installations, print and pop objects.
‘Heroes of the Revolution’ is an animation loop for all-in-one aluminum framed wall unit,
using two custom PCs and four widescreen monitors.

Snow Mirror – Daniel Rozin

Snow Mirror is the first in a series of pieces that celebrate slowness
and black and white, in this piece the image of the viewer is created
by the congregation and accumulation of white snow flakes in areas of
the image that are brighter. The result is projected on a transparent silk
fabric which creates a feeling of the flakes being suspended in space.

Andreas & Brittany’s Lumièree project has been brilliant in so many respects.
Firstly, it has engaged a load of people in making stuff.
Secondly, it has been a huge kick in the arse in terms of reflecting on what one
is doing when one is making video. It has sharpened all our eyes.
(And, curiously, speaking personally, my ears too. I think a lot harder about what
I want sound to do having now forsworn it on 25 or so occasions)
Lastly, there’s been some really great work come out of it.
Here’s one each from Andreas and Brittany and one from the frontrunner
in the productivity stakes (but not simply that – what an eye!) Sam Renseiw.
